Today’s pretty impressive deal is the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King theatrical editions, all individually packed, for $7.99 each at Amazon. To be noted, they are all single discs, with no extra bonus features.
Additionally, we at Blu-ray View suggest The Return of the King over the other two purely for picture quality alone, as the others suffer from excessive DNR filtering combined with an old, soft master. The Return of the King doesn’t suffer, at-least noticeably much, from either of these issues and has a superb soundtrack to boot.
We hope to get comprehensive reviews out for these discs soon, as well as the inevitable extended edition trilogy set.
